It’s Game Day!

Extra Life

It’s November 2nd, 2019 which can only mean one thing! No, I’m not talking about how it’s only 54 days until Christmas (let’s get through Thanksgiving before we even start to think of any sort of Yuletide countdown); today is the official Extra-Life Game Day!

For those who don’t know, Extra-Life is a 24-hour video game charity event to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals around the country, with 100% of donations going to the hospital of the gamer’s choice.

This is the fifth year I’ve been a participant with this wonderful organization and once again, I’m playing in support of the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, Maine.

Why I participate in Extra-Life

Game Day is held annually on the first Saturday of November and donations are accepted until midnight December, 31st. What makes this year special for me is that it’s the first time, since the first year I’ve participated, that I don’t have previous engagements preventing me from rescheduling my event.

Today is going to be filled with lots of gaming, both on and offline, and I will occasionally be streaming some of my games over on Twitch. Make sure to follow me on Facebook and Twitter to get regular updates on what I’m playing.

If you’re a gamer and see me playing a game you own and want to join, send me a message, gaming is more fun with others!

At the time of me writing this, I’m only $40 away from reaching my fundraising goal of $500. I need your help to reach this goal (and hopefully surpass it). Remember, 100% of the money you donate goes to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and the children who are receiving treatment there.

If you can donate, that’s awesome! If you can’t, that’s okay, too! You can still help me reach my goal by sharing this article or link to my fundraising page and spreading the word on your social media.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated, your generosity will help a lot of children!
